WHAT I DO

  • Conduct best practice and prospect research

  • Manage fundraising campaigns from start to finish

BEFORE I JOINED RDG, I …

  • My career started in politics. Having officially "caught the bug" after a few successful campaigns, I decided to establish a political fundraising and strategic planning firm, AES Development. For multiple campaign cycles, I was blessed to work with statewide, local, nonprofit, and national clients. My reason for leaving politics: four of my clients ran against each other.

  • I then transitioned into economic development where I found my passion: helping communities grow and grow smart. I served as Director of Investor Relations for the Indy Chamber’s Accelerate Indy campaign (round one) and Client Relations Manager with The Etica Group (an architecture/engineering firm).

  • Throughout my professional experiences: I have focused on building a network, connecting people within that network, and constructing creative solutions.

I WAS EDUCATED AT

  • Indiana University, receiving my BS in Political Science and BA in History.

  • Indiana University, receiving my Master's in Philanthropic Studies and Nonprofit Management from The Lilly School of Philanthropy (the only school of philanthropy in the WORLD). I did this part-time while managing a business, working full-time at the Indy Chamber, getting married, and buying a house. I like to be busy!

WHEN I’M NOT WORKING, YOU CAN FIND ME…

  • Reading! I love to read all genres and on average go through a book (or two) a week.

  • Traveling or planning my next trip: my husband and I recently spent two weeks in Alaska and two weeks in Maui. Always looking for suggestions or willing to offer recommendations.

  • Enjoying a nice glass of wine and catching up with friends.

FUN FACT

Growing up Catholic in a heavily Jewish community: my favorite thing to eat/ultimate comfort food is Matzo Ball soup.
