WHAT I DO
-
Manage funding campaigns from start to finish.
-
Add the Texas attitude, with a bit of Southern Charm, to the RDG diversity aspect.
WHAT I DID BEFORE I JOINED RDG …
-
Worked for eight years in higher education – recruiting, counseling, teaching, and “brokering” student talent.
-
Led employer relations efforts at TCU’s Neeley School of Business for the MBA population. Contributed to record setting statistics (student wins) for the program and earning a ranking of #24 in the world for the Career Center.
-
Directed the strategy, and managed the day-to-day operations of all activities and functions for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s Investor Relations / Membership department (5.2 mil in annual revenue).
-
Met Rob and Mike during a campaign for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce – so I understand the Chamber/EDC POV, and all the quirks of “Chamber Master.”
I WAS EDUCATED AT
-
The University of Texas at Arlington, receiving my BA in Philosophy and
a minor in Political Science; graduated with honors (picture spending all your time in the library).
-
Angelo State University, receiving an M.Ed. where one discovers
how to run a higher educational institution as a business.
WHEN I’M NOT WORKING, YOU CAN FIND ME…
-
Training for the next marathon
-
Honing my Texas Hold ’em poker skills/strategy
-
Wrangling my dogs (fur babies)
-
On the water (lake, ocean, river, decently sized pond) surfing, sailing, or dipping my toes
FAVORITE QUOTE:
“Man is a special being, and if left to himself, in an isolated condition, would be one of the weakest creatures; but associated with his kind, he works wonders. – Daniel Webster
