Rob is a founder and Managing Principal of Resource Development Group and is  responsible for providing senior-level organizational management and counsel to a broad cross-section of economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, and city, county and state government leaders throughout the United States.

With over a quarter-century of economic development related fundraising experience, Rob’s areas of expertise include campaign planning and management, comprehensive economic development program analysis, organizational design and leadership, and staff and board development. He has personally managed dozens of economic development funding campaigns that have generated over $350 million for client organizations. Rob’s client engagements have ranged from large regional metros to single counties to state governments.

Rob was Senior Partner at The Suddes Group for six years prior to launching Capital Funding Strategies in 1995, now Resource Development Group. Earlier in his career he served as Vice President of Government Affairs for The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, as Executive Assistant to the President at Bank One and as Staff Director of the Ohio Senate’s Economic Development and Small Business Committee.  Rob is active with the International Economic Development Council, American Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Ohio Economic Development Association.

In 1980, Rob was awarded his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Economics. He received his Juris Doctor from The Capital University School of Law in 1987. Rob and his wife, Donna, live in Columbus, Ohio and have four adult children; a son, daughter-in-law and grandson in Stony Brook, New York, a son in New York City, a son in Vigo, Spain and their daughter attending The Ohio State University.
